Julie Burnett, CEO/Founder
Julie seeks God for wisdom and guidance in all she does. Her decades of combined experience in ministry program development and in private practice as a speech-language pathologist has given her the experience to form Simply Said, Inc. into a dynamic ministry that will love God and serve others for decades to come.
Vassie Vaught, Board Chairperson
Vassie has been volunteering in different programs and ministries for decades. As a graduate from Virginia Tech, he has worked in public education, Emergency Medical Services and the transportation industry. He serves as a grant writer and spokesman for Simply Said.
Bobby Lee Young, Jr., Board Treasurer
"God has blessed me with a passion for serving." Bobby is a veteran Army Ranger, former businessman, and retiree from the food and beverage industry, enjoys helping others and doing construction – particularly projects sharing God's love.
Linda Vaught, Board Secretary
Linda has been a life-long educator and child advocate. With 20 years in the school system, she also has HR, office admin (City of Roanoke), and transportation experience. She earned her BS from JMU and has since retired from the public workforce. Linda is active in her church and believes God has drawn her to Simply Said to help develop a program that benefits early child development.
Anne Foster, Board Member
Answering "yes" to participate in the growth of Simply Said, Inc. provides an additional way for this Mom, Gigi, retired counselor, and volunteer to respond to God's love. By working in the community, listening, responding, and helping connect needs and resources, my prayer is that all involved will accomplish meaningful goals in service to our Lord and those in need.
Robin Eskey, Board Member
Robin has always loved the Lord and over the past few years, felt God calling her to something bigger. She is a hair stylist, who has spent 30 years loving to help people feel beautiful. She joined Simply Said because of her love for children and desires to help them reach their potential in life.
Brandie Kendrick, Board Member
Brandie is a loving mom, passionate musician and writer, devoted to Jesus. Years of working with young children led Brandie to her current leadership role in Early Intervention. Helping young children reach developmental milestones is her passion. Brandie was drawn to Simply Said for its authentic approach and genuine commitment to supporting the community.
Tricia Waller, Board Member
“What does God mean in my life? HE IS EVERYTHING! I give him all the glory, all the praise for where I am in my life now.” Tricia currently is a civilian staff member with her local law enforcement agency. She has an AS Degree in Office Administration-Legal Specialization and holds a BBA in Business Administration. Tricia loves being part of God’s work. She was drawn to Simply Said through its weekly inspirational devotional and its mission to love God and serve others. She firmly believes God’s hand is on Simply Said and wants to join Him here!
